Flower Care Tips

To make fresh flowers last longer, follow these tips:

1. Trim the stems: Cut about an inch off the bottom of each stem at a 45-degree angle before placing them in water. This allows for better water absorption.

2. Use clean water: Fill a clean vase with fresh, room temperature water. Remove any leaves that will be submerged in the water to prevent bacterial growth.

3. Add flower food: Use the provided flower food or make your own by mixing water with a few drops of bleach and sugar. This nourishes the flowers and prevents bacteria from growing in the water.

4. Change the water regularly: Every 2-3 days, replace the water in the vase and recut the stems. This helps prevent bacterial buildup and keeps the flowers hydrated.

5. Avoid direct sunlight and heat: Place the vase in a cool, shaded area away from direct sunlight, heaters, or appliances that emit heat. Heat can cause flowers to wilt faster.

6. Remove wilted flowers: As flowers begin to wilt, remove them from the arrangement to prevent ethylene gas production, which accelerates the aging process of other flowers.

By following these steps, you can help prolong the freshness and lifespan of your fresh flowers.
