a-mans-guide-to-valentines-day-success

As the calendar turns to yet another new year, here is some advice for the guy out there; it’s time to start thinking about Valentine’s Day! There is probably a pretty good chance you screwed up last year, and the year before that, and….well you can see where this is going.

Your partner may have given you the benefit of the doubt up until now, but there are only so many grocery store flowers and balloons a person can stand. The safer bet is to put forth at least a little effort this year. With a little forethought and planning this year, you may be able to wipe away some of the unfortunate Valentines gift choices you’ve made in the past. At least you know now that a vacuum cleaner is not an appropriate Valentine’s Day gift.

Look, Valentine’s Day is a thing whether you like it, or not, whether it make any sense, or not. It’s time to quit fighting it and get it right this year. It won’t be nearly as hard as you think, and you will be rewarded for your efforts – big time!

There are several other gift options to explore, other than gas station quickie mart or grocery store, of course.

The first option is to turn their gift into a gift you can both enjoy. You should be thinking frilly, silky underthings at this point, and not the cheap stuff! There are plenty of stores online where you can shop in peace and get a quality gift, you’ll be glad to give!

A less traditional gift along the same line would be something from the adult toy selection in the romance section of the same or similar online store. In the interest of keeping this family friendly, that’s enough said (almost). This may be high risk depending on your specific situation but is an even higher reward! Okay – that’s enough.

If neither of those ideas will work for you then stick with the classics. It would be (nearly) impossible to find a young lady who wouldn’t like getting a big bouquet of her favorite Valentines flowers, roses or otherwise. The trick here guys is the card. If all you can think of is “I love you” on a Valentine flowers delivery card – your game is in bad shape. Don’t be afraid to spice it up a bit, it is a day of romance after all and you’re not going to shock a florist.

A nice box of their favorite chocolate is a classic touch, but DO NOT try to pass it off as the primary gift.

Remember, the day is for both of you. Have some fun with it. You really have nothing to lose and so much to gain. Maybe you should consider something similar once a month instead of once a year.

Good luck!

If you are still undecided, I would suggest checking out our collection of Valentine flowers and Valentine gifts, particularly the romantic roses – one of the perfect gifts for Valentine’s Day – and start ordering now for delivery next month.
